Established in January 2022, Blue Cat Yoga has led the way in combining yoga practice with positive mental health and wellbeing.

Workshops and classes that we offer are all carefully created to support the needs of those accessing them, all from a trauma-informed angle.

Sessions have been well received by those affected by mental health, stress, substance use, long covid, abuse, eating disorders, and those who need some time and space to nurture their own wellbeing. Having balance in life is important for positive wellbeing.

Trauma can be held in the body as well as the mind, which is why we work in a way that offers a carefully managed safe space rather than a triggering experience.

We assume that most people have suffered from some kind of trauma which means that people don’t have to elaborate on their experiences.

A confidential health form is used to inform the teacher of any issues so we can ensure suitable practice options.

Disclaimer here though; yoga teachers cannot offer a diagnosis for any mental or physical health issues; we are not certified counsellors. We can support recovery through offering resources in the practice and holding space.

Yoga is great for stilling the mind, reducing stress, promoting inner and outer strength among many other benefits.

Blue Cat Yoga can offer that sacred space for you to ‘be’.
